THE WAY THAT I RHYME Yeah, anyway like I was saying. I Walk up in the show and my song start playing I’m like dude what if we was gon do that Tonight? Dj looking like “yeah my bad, tru dat” “But on the real since the moment I arrived every Five someone askin can you play some J-Live.” I told him ‘next time skip all of that stress. Tellem real DJs don’t take requests’. Yeah, see we the Ghostbusters. Men in Black just Look into the light you can trust us. Forget whatever song you were thinking. We select, you keep dancing and drinking. Speakin of which not even that late it’s Already jumpin like Zion in the Matrix. Not a sword fight neither more like, hmm. What’s the Opposite a sheath fest? Man that’s a deep guess. But you know to expect nothing less. My rhymes aint checkers kid more like chess. That’s why the queens stay fresh up on the scene. They checkin for the king nameen. The reason Why, cause she want that real live bonafied Certified actual factual genuine Article. Straight from heart I embody hip Hop down to my last follicle’s particle (The reason Why) cause she aint just purty she smart Sharp enough to break down darts. Later for that Dumb down radio rap on the charts Sistren respect the arts (The reason Why) Cause your nigga bitch rap is bad juju J-live love black woman like Buju A brother asked, “who’s that on stage yo, is he new?” A Shorty in the front turned around like, “who you?” “And where the hell have you been?” “Ask your girl, ask her three best friends” “4 albums deep sick with the pen” “Nice on the beats, plus he could spin.” She Said she couldn’t wait for the next one to drop. He Said I love a female that knows her hip hop. She Gave him that look like, “go head be quiet. That brand of game is so gad damn tired.” He Tried to play it off like, “for real though its true.” She Said, “apparently I’m up on more than you.” Acting like it’s a new phenomenon man, Listen to the hook to the song.

POETRY IN MOTION My rhyme book records dreams in three d. For the big screen call it 3rd eye max. I put in work and love for the climax. It keeps her sprung I got her on the comeback. I stroke her to the rhythm of the drum track. Syncopated percussion. While fools rush in, I take my sweet with the timing. Rock steady till I’m good and damn ready. Oh I’m sorry did that sound like a metaphor? Well perhaps because we met before. But you don’t know me like that. It’s been minute. The sun don’t chill and time don’t stand still. Change is real you tie me to an anvil. You lose that too like a open hand filled with Hourglass sands I been runnin in uphill. If the wind don’t get you the tide will. Wherever you at whatver your potions Raise your glasses high cause we toastin’ Raise your voices cause a commotion We celebratin poetry in motion We pedal might hard in the streets Over beats like these we straight coastin’ Wave your hands like a man made ocean What you hear is poetry in motion You thinking I’m sposed to stoop to your level? I couldn’t dig that low with a drill and shovel. This ain’t as simple as God vs. Devil. We both exist betwixt the bass and treble. I’m elevated looking down from a distance. You front right left back and still missed it. My rhyme books record dreams in three, Demonstrated via movies and TV. Ninjas, special forces, serial slayers, Hawks, star ships, enterprising rhyme sayers, Swoop down from the ceiling to make a killing. Heroes, villains, red or blue pill dealings, Facts or feelings, all will be revealed in The time it takes for listeners to wake. Some won’t appreciate in till the wake. Theirs or minez I guess we’ll have to wait. Wherever you at whatever your potions Raise your glasses high cause we toastin’ Raise your voices cause a commotion We celebratin’ poetry in motion We pedal might hard in the streets Over beats like these we straight coastin’ Wave your hands like a man made ocean What you hear is poetry in motion
